A gunman killed 11 people in Montenegro, Including 2 Children

After a first assessment of the murder site, a state prosecutor informed Vijesti TV that 11 persons. 

It includes two children; the shooter died in the shooting, and six more were wounded.

Director of the Montenegro Police, Zoran Brdjanin, said that a 34-year-old man was using a hunting rifle when he shot and killed two siblings, ages 8 and 11, and wounded their mother. The latter subsequently passed away in a hospital.

According to Brdjanin, “the family was living there as renters.” He said that the shooting’s motivation was unknown. Although he did not identify the gunman by name, he did provide his initials, V.B.

The gunman then exited his home and murdered an additional 7 persons. In addition, a police officer was wounded during a gunfight with the opposition, according to Brdjanin.

Andrijana Nastic, a state prosecutor, said to Vijesti TV: “When we got at the site we discovered nine dead corpses, including two children, and another two died away on the way to the hospital.”

Nastic said, “I can only tell that a citizen (civilian) killed the gunman. Earlier, the media said that the gunman had been dead by police.

The Republic of Montenegro will observe three days of mourning beginning on Friday evening, according to Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic.
